Product details

Background & context

Within the Konflikt '47 setting, Japan's walker programme deliberately stayed light. Instead of armour the designers relied on a low silhouette, low noise and climbing ability, qualities that are worth more in island warfare and in the dense vegetation of South-East Asia than a thick front plate. The Type 7 is the second generation of this line: the elongated chassis gives the crew room, the claws cut paths clear and take hold in close combat, and the articulated boom relieves the gunner of the work of aiming. The name Sasori was given by the crews, and then the whole force adopted it.

On the tabletop

The Type 7 Sasori is the successor to the Type 6 and a light walker of the Empire of Japan in Konflikt '47. Its articulated tail carries the Type 61 Light Shiboru Cannon, which lets the gunner lay it more precisely. With the two front claws it cuts its way through dense undergrowth and swats aside infantry or light vehicles. The lengthened chassis gives the crew more room. Use it ahead of your main line to strike at the flanks.
