Background & context

Konflikt '47 spins the Second World War on beyond 1945: Rift energy tears holes in physics, and every nation builds its own weapons from it. Japan relies less on mass than on vanishing and reappearing: Ghost infantry walk through walls, and Assault-Frame troops storm in after them in powered armour. The Chi-Ha, long obsolete in the real war, gets a second career with the Shiboru gun. It is exactly this coexistence of old metal and wonder weapon that defines the faction.

On the tabletop

The Platoon Commander in an Assault Frame leads as the HQ and wears the same armour as the assault squad beside him. That squad is made up of the 5 Assault Frame wearers, while the 5 Ghost Attack Infantry work their way through cover towards the enemy as a second squad. The Sasori is the light walker for the flank, and the Chi-Ha with its Shiboru cannon is the heaviest vehicle, clearing targets for the infantry from the rear. That makes five units, matching the 5 Order Dice, and the 5 Rift Dice are included for the Rift rules. With so few units this is a small platoon that grows with further squads.
