    Background & context

    Tintagel an der Küste Cornwalls ist ein realer Ort mit Resten einer Siedlung aus dem fünften und sechsten Jahrhundert, die über die See bis ins Mittelmeer Handel trieb. Geoffrey von Monmouth machte daraus im zwölften Jahrhundert den Ort von Arthurs Zeugung, und die Burgruine darüber ließ ein Earl erst später bauen, weil die Geschichte sich gut verkaufte. Die Figuren dieser Packung stammen aus genau diesem Randbereich der Sage.

    On the tabletop

    Tristan, Geraint, Lamorak, Ector and Uther Pendragon lead your post-Roman Britons in Hail Caesar, SAGA or Pillage. Field Uther, Arthur's father, as king and commander-in-chief, and the others as leaders of individual war bands. The figures come from the fringes of the legend and suit scenarios set before or alongside Camelot. Tintagel in Cornwall was a real settlement in the fifth and sixth centuries that traded across the sea as far as the Mediterranean. All figures are metal.
