Product details

Background & context

The Seven Spears of Shizugatake were retainers of Toyotomi Hideyoshi who gained particular renown after the Battle of Shizugatake. Their context is clearly the Japanese Sengoku period. As these are named figures, their classification as special/individual models is correct.

On the tabletop

Seven vassals of Toyotomi Hideyoshi led the attack that decided the battle of Shizugatake in 1583, and these resin figures represent them. In Pike & Shotte you can field the seven together as a small elite unit of samurai that strikes at the decisive point. Alternatively, spread them as leaders among your samurai and ashigaru units. For a scenario based on Shizugatake they provide the best-known fighters on Hideyoshi's side.
