Product details

Background & context

Among the millions of Soviet soldiers who fought in World War II, experienced units stood out, forged by years of front-line combat. These fighters possessed a resilience and tactical maturity that distinguished them from ordinary Red Army soldiers. Especially in the Winter War on the Eastern Front, specially equipped units proved to be a decisive factor - with camouflage gear and winter clothing adapted to the extreme conditions. Such experienced groups were preferentially assigned to key tasks where their experience was intended to make the difference.

On the tabletop

Ten veterans in white snowsuits form an experienced squad for your Soviet winter army in Bolt Action. Hand-picked, often decorated men like these were given particularly important objectives or critical sectors, and that is exactly where you commit the squad. The figures carry submachine guns or rifles: more submachine guns make an assault squad, more rifles a squad for holding a position. Winter camouflage went mainly to scouts and assault troops.
