Hintergrund & Einordnung

With the Soviet fleet largely blockaded in its ports, numerous sailors were deployed as front-line infantrymen - often still in their distinctive black naval uniforms with striped Telnyashka undershirts. From these forces emerged specialized marine infantry units: forty brigades and five regiments that made a name for themselves in both defense and coastal landing operations on the Baltic and Black Seas. Their solid military training and strong esprit de corps made them particularly reliable units in the Soviet army. Among their German opponents, they earned the nickname "Black Death" due to their dark uniforms and battle cry.

Veteran variant of the Naval Brigade squad - all 12 figures equipped with submachine guns, thus purely optimized for close combat. In Bolt Action, an extremely aggressive close-combat unit in house-to-house fighting, as a Veteran Squad with Tough Fighter and SMG-only equipment. Ideal for Stalingrad or Sevastopol scenarios.
