    Product details

    Background & context

The 82-millimetre mortar did for the Red Army what other armies had to call on divisional artillery for: instantly available high-angle fire at battalion level. The PM-37 and PM-41 types were simply built, could be carried by three men and came off the production line in enormous numbers. In Sevastopol, Leningrad and Stalingrad such mortars held up German attacks long before heavy artillery could intervene at all.

    On the tabletop

The 82 mm mortar with three sailors as crew gives your Naval Brigade indirect fire against infantry in Bolt Action. As a core part of a heavy weapons platoon it fires from a covered position at enemies behind walls and in rubble. Mortars of this kind were simply built, could be carried by three men and proved themselves in the fighting for Sevastopol, Leningrad and Stalingrad. A base is included.
