    Product details

    Background & context

The naval infantrymen mostly kept their striped undershirt, the telnyashka, and wore it pointedly open to view beneath the field blouse. For the other side this striped pattern became the hallmark of a force notorious for its attacks, and that is exactly where the byname Black Death comes from. The brigades were deployed on the Baltic, on the Black Sea and wherever landings were to be made or bridgeheads held.

    On the tabletop

The medium machine gun gives your Soviet Naval Brigade in Bolt Action a weapon for sustained covering fire. While the sailors' squads press the attack, the team pins the enemy in its positions with continuous fire. The three crew figures in black naval uniform match the rest of your naval infantry. The team is best placed on high ground or in a building with a view over the enemy's lines of approach.
