    Product details

    Background & context

The Soviet PTRD-41 and PTRS-41 anti-tank rifles in 14.5 millimetre calibre were produced in a great hurry in 1941 because the infantry had no other anti-tank defence. Against the frontal armour of medium types their success was doubtful as early as 1942, but against tracks, vision slits, half-tracks and armoured cars they remained useful until the end of the war. Above all they were cheap, could be carried by two men and were available in large numbers, exactly what units needed that had to turn out with whatever was to hand.

    On the tabletop

Two sailors with an anti-tank rifle give your Naval Brigade a portable weapon against lightly armoured targets in Bolt Action. It is most dangerous to armoured cars, half-tracks and light tanks, but it can also hit careless officers and weapons teams. The team is an inexpensive way to add another order die to a rifle or heavy weapons platoon. The PTRD-41 and PTRS-41 anti-tank rifles were cheap and could be carried by two men.
