Product details

Background & context

The Red Army sent its medics right into the firing line. The wounded were recovered under fire, and to a large extent by women, who served at the front in comparable numbers in no other army of this war. A recovery counted as a combat achievement: decorations depended on the number of men rescued, and each man's weapon had to be brought back with him. If you are building the Eastern Front, this figure puts on the table the part of the battle that does not shoot.

On the tabletop

This kit lets you field Red Army medical personnel who recover the wounded under fire. In 28 mm actions on the Eastern Front the figure adds the casualty care to your Soviet platoon that is otherwise missing from the table. In scenarios it can become an objective, for example when a wounded man has to be recovered. The parts come 3D printed, and you remove the supports before assembly.
