    Product details

    Background & context

Under the American Lend-Lease programme the Red Army received jeeps in large numbers from 1942 onwards. Commanders and staff officers drove them up to the front, while scouts made use of their cross-country ability on muddy tracks and snowy fields. Many of them towed light 45 mm anti-tank guns. Soviet soldiers usually called the jeep simply Willys, after its maker.

    On the tabletop

With this crew your jeep becomes the car of a company commander or artillery observer carrying orders along the front. The passenger with his arm outstretched points out the direction of the attack and makes the vehicle easy to spot on the table. You can also place the car in front of a light anti-tank gun as its tow vehicle. The vehicle itself is not included.
