    The BT-7 was the fastest tank of its day, and the A version received a larger turret with a short 7.62 cm barrel. This puts an artillery tank on the gaming table that handles like a cavalryman.

    Die BT-Reihe ging auf amerikanische Christie-Fahrwerke zurück und war für den Bewegungskrieg gedacht: hohes Tempo, dünne Panzerung, weite Vorstöße. Der BT-7A sollte diesen schnellen Verbänden eigene Feuerunterstützung geben und trug dafür ein kurzes 76,2-mm-Rohr in einem vergrößerten Turm. Gebaut wurde nur eine kleine Vorkriegsserie. 1941 standen die überlebenden Fahrzeuge trotzdem an der Front und zeigten dort schnell, wie wenig ihre Panzerung aushielt.

    On the tabletop

    The BT-7A gave fast Soviet tank units their own fire support. Its enlarged turret holds a short 76.2 mm gun that mainly fires high-explosive shells at infantry, gun positions and buildings. Its strength is speed, which lets you bring it onto a flank quickly, while its armour is thin. In Bolt Action it suits early war games, such as the battles of 1941.
