    Background & context

    Der Ampulomet entstand 1941 aus purer Not: ein Rohr, ein Zweibein, als Treibladung eine Schwarzpulverpatrone aus der Jagd - fertig war ein Werfer, den jede Werkstatt bauen konnte. Er schleuderte Glas- oder Blechkugeln mit selbstentzündender Flüssigkeit rund zweihundert Meter weit. Für die Bedienung war das kaum weniger riskant als für den Gegner, denn ein Treffer in die Stellung setzte die eigene Munition in Brand. Ab 1942 verschwand die Waffe wieder aus den Einheiten.

    On the tabletop

    The Ampulomet was an improvised launcher of 1941 that fired glass or tin balls filled with self-igniting incendiary liquid, and this team brings it into your Bolt Action list with a crew of three. Use it against enemies in cover, positions and vehicles, though you have to close to short range to do so. The weapon was not accurate, and a hit on its own position was just as dangerous for the crew. It complements the Red Army's other anti-tank teams.
