Product details

Background & context

During World War II, the Soviet 45mm anti-tank gun was one of the Red Army's important weapons. These guns were used to engage infantry, vehicles, or fortified positions from a distance. In a tabletop context, the model represents light anti-tank capabilities and adds a clearly recognizable support role to armies.

On the tabletop

The small 45 mm gun was found down to company level throughout the Red Army and suits Soviet forces in Bolt Action from the start of the war. As an anti-tank gun its job is to engage enemy vehicles. Because it sits so low, you can hide it well behind hedges and in dips in the ground. Against tougher tanks from 1942 onwards, wait for a close-range shot or one into the flank. A commander and two crew figures make up the team.
