Product details

Background & context

Sir William Waller was an important Parliamentarian General in the English Civil War. As a named figure, the product is not a regular troop set but a historical commander model. The assignment to England and the English Civil War is therefore clean.

On the tabletop

Sir William Waller leads your Parliamentarian army in Pike & Shotte as a general, either as commander-in-chief of a small army or as the commander of a wing. In 1642 he raised cavalry at his own expense, took Portsmouth and was Ralph Hopton's opponent in the West. Scenarios include Roundway Down in 1643, where his run of victories ended, and Cheriton in 1644, Parliament's greatest victory up to that point. The mounted figure is metal.
