Background & context

Oswald Mosley saß erst als konservativer Abgeordneter im Unterhaus, wechselte über den Einsatz der Black and Tans in Irland zu Labour und galt dort als kommende Größe. 1931 scheiterte die Partei, die er daraufhin selbst gegründet hatte. Danach kopierte er zuerst Mussolini und dann die Nationalsozialisten und verlor damit den Rückhalt, den er noch besessen hatte. Die 1932 gegründete British Union of Fascists wurde 1940 verboten, Mosley kam in Haft.

On the tabletop

Oswald Mosley, founder of the British Union of Fascists, and two bodyguards form the command group in Bolt Action for what-if games in which Britain fell in 1940. Mosley takes the officer slot of a BUF unit that stands on the German side in this scenario. Historically the party was banned in 1940 and Mosley interned, so the scenario remains fiction against a historical background. All three figures are metal.
