The Sherman V was the British designation for the American M4A4, which arrived in Great Britain as part of the Lend-Lease program. Warlord Games describes it as the mainstay of British and Polish tank units in the later war years, as well as a vehicle also used by the Free French. The Sherman V was the most numerically significant British tank, combining a relatively high silhouette with great reliability, robustness, and availability. With its 75mm gun, it was particularly well-suited for infantry support and suppressing enemy guns.

In the game, the Sherman V (M4A4) forms an armored combat unit for direct fire support and movement on mission objectives.
