Product details

Background & context

Assault engineers rarely ended up where things were comfortable. Their half-track therefore carried two demountable ramps above the crew compartment, with which trenches and blown bridges could be spanned in minutes, plus inflatable boats in the side lockers for river crossings. Early vehicles mounted a 3.7cm PaK 36 at the front, which later gave way to the Panzerbüchse 41. From the advance in Russia to the rubble-strewn streets of Berlin in April 1945 they were there everywhere.

On the tabletop

The Pionierwagen carries your assault engineers and their equipment right up to the obstacle in Bolt Action. Two detachable assault bridges sit on top for ditches and blown bridges, and the side lockers hold inflatable boats for river crossings, which makes it a natural choice for scenarios with obstacles. Once dismounted, the engineers go to work on positions and buildings. It served from the advance into Russia to the streets of Berlin in 1945. A stat card, decals and damage markers are included.
