The Sd.Kfz 251/10 is the platoon leader variant of the German standard half-track armoured personnel carrier - equipped with a 3.7 cm PaK as direct anti-tank support for the accompanying platoon leader. The model is made of plastic, metal, and resin and can be supplemented with suitable infantry sets to form complete rifle platoon groups.

Hintergrund & Einordnung

The Sd.Kfz 251/10 was the platoon commander variant of the widely used German half-track armored personnel carrier, equipped with a 3.7 cm PaK (anti-tank gun). Its purpose was to provide the platoon leader with their own anti-tank capability to protect the rifle platoon against lightly armored threats. The vehicle was deployed in almost all theaters of war - from the North African deserts to the Eastern Front. Although the 3.7 cm PaK became increasingly ineffective against medium and heavy tanks in the later war years, the vehicle remained a staple in German infantry divisions.

Einsatz im Spiel

This 251/10 variant represents a mobile light anti-tank platform. It complements mechanized troops by keeping enemy scout cars and light tanks at bay. On the tabletop, it is more of a support vehicle than a breakthrough unit.
