Product details

Background & context

On the tabletop

With 24 musketeers, 12 pikemen and four metal command figures you field a whole regiment of Scottish Covenanters in Pike & Shotte. With the 40 metal bonnets and a paint scheme in hodden grey the unit is instantly recognisable. The musketeers provide the firepower while the pike block protects them against cavalry, as taught by officers who had served under Gustavus Adolphus. The Bishops' Wars and Marston Moor in 1644 are fitting settings, and eight flags in new and battle-worn condition are included.
