Product details

Background & context

On the tabletop

This mounted general with his sword raised high leads your Covenanter regiments, the Scottish government army, in Pike & Shotte. On the table he gives orders to your brigades and marks the centre around which your pike blocks form up. The Covenanters took the field against Charles I from 1639 and later marched into England as allies of Parliament, forming the centre of the allied army at Marston Moor in 1644. Their Lowland regiments were reputed to be tough and hard to break.
