    Product details

    Background & context

    On the tabletop

Three 9th-century Saxon kings lead your Wessex levy against the Vikings in Hail Caesar or SAGA. As commanders they stand at the front with their fyrd and their retainers. Fitting scenarios run from the landing of the Great Heathen Army in 865 to Alfred's retreat into the marshes of Athelney in 878 and his counterstroke. At that time kings ruled on the move with their army. All figures are metal.
