    Product details

    Background & context

    On the tabletop

This M4A3 carries sandbags over hull and turret, the way American crews added protection to their Shermans against anti-tank rifles, Panzerfausts and Panzerschrecks. It fits your US armoured platoon for the breakout from Normandy and the bocage fighting, where the Sherman accompanied the infantry. The Germans mockingly called it the Ronson because it caught fire so easily, which made every extra layer of protection understandable. Achtung Panzer! has rules for this Sherman too.
