Product details

Background & context

Samurai were the warrior elite of feudal Japan and shaped the Sengoku period from 1467 to 1603. In addition to the katana, yari, yumi, and no-dachi were also used. The box should therefore be treated as foot samurai infantry and not as a single model set.

On the tabletop

With 20 foot samurai you can field a unit of Japanese professional warriors of the Sengoku period for Pike & Shotte. Samurai mastered the yari, yumi, katana and no-dachi, and in your army they are the experienced core troops that lead the attack. The Takeda clan decals let you represent one of the best-known daimyo of these wars. Together with ashigaru and arquebusiers they form an army for the battles between 1467 and 1603.
