Product details

Background & context

Kharkov, then one of the great industrial cities of Ukraine, changed hands four times between 1941 and 1943. Each attack led to fighting in the streets around administrative buildings, factories and railway yards. Multi-storey offices of brick and concrete withstood shelling for a long time and were turned into strongpoints. When the fighting ended in August 1943, much of the city centre lay in ruins.

On the tabletop

Spread the ruins across the table to close gaps, or push them close together to create a shattered block with narrow alleys. Behind the open walls your infantry find cover and firing gaps on several levels. The tall wall remains suit snipers who watch large parts of the table from above. The ruins fit battles for Soviet cities between 1941 and 1944.
