Product details

Background & context

Before the War of Independence, the quartering of British soldiers was one of the major disputes between the colonies and London. In forts along frontiers, lakes and rivers, garrisons lived in simple barracks of timber or stone, often built right against the ramparts. Sleeping quarters, stores and equipment were kept close together so the troops could man the walls quickly when attacked.

On the tabletop

Put the barracks inside a fort assembled from other Skytrex Revolution! kits. It makes the position look lived in and gives the defenders a solid point within the defences. For an attacker, the building hides what stands in the courtyard. Outside a fort it serves as a garrison or depot building, in other Epic Battles periods too.
