    Product details

    Background & context

    On the tabletop

The R39 is an R35 that carries the longer 37 mm SA38 instead of the short First World War gun, making it useful against tanks as well. Only small numbers were built before the 1940 campaign. In Bolt Action you use it to accompany your French infantry, open up positions and catch light enemy vehicles at range. As in the R35, one man in the turret has to load, aim and command, so it remains a slow support tank.
