Product details

Background & context

The French Résistance was never an army but a set of competing networks existing side by side: the communist FTP, Gaullist groups and draft evaders who took to the mountains as Maquis. Its arms came from three sources: booty from 1940, British containers dropped by night and everything taken from German sentries. Before the Normandy landings they put hundreds of rail links out of action within a few days.

On the tabletop

The 32 figures give you a French Resistance group armed with whatever was dropped or captured: rifles, Stens, Brens, grease guns, MP 38/40s, pistols and grenades. In games you ambush convoys, blow bridges or collect supplies dropped at night. The Bren gives the ambush its firepower. With the many heads you can also use the figures as partisans in other theatres.
