Background & context

At Waterloo twelve hussar regiments alone made up 38 per cent of the entire Prussian cavalry, and no other type of cavalry came anywhere near. Their commander-in-chief was Blücher himself, Marshal Forwards, who had once begun his career in the hussars. The regiments of the Hundred Days were not uniformly dressed; each held on to its own colours. What they had in common was the task: ride ahead, harass and give the enemy not a minute's peace.

On the tabletop

Twelve Warlord Resin hussars, officer and bugler included, form a unit of Prussian light cavalry for the Hundred Days in Black Powder. This kind of cavalry was meant for raiding and skirmishing, yet in the big battles it often fought in the main line. So you can use it to scout and screen, or throw it against an enemy unit that is already wavering. At Waterloo hussars made up 38 per cent of the Prussian cavalry, so fielding several such units is entirely fitting.
