Background & context

In 1939 Poland drew the lessons of the First World War and equipped its companies with light 46mm mortars for immediate close support. There were no dedicated sniper platoons; instead, the best shots in a company were assigned as marksmen. The wz.35 anti-tank rifle worked on a principle of its own: instead of piercing the armour with a hard core, its lead bullet in a steel jacket made the inner face spall, so that fragments flew through the fighting compartment.

On the tabletop

Three two-man weapons teams give your Polish infantry in Bolt Action support that a rifle squad lacks. The light 46 mm mortar was issued to many companies for close support and engages enemies behind cover. The best shots of a company served as marksmen, and the sniper team engages single targets at range. The wz.35 anti-tank rifle is aimed at the lightly armoured vehicles of the 1939 campaign. Three order dice are included.
