    Background & context

    Der Polski Fiat 508 lief in Lizenz bei den Staatlichen Ingenieurwerken in Warschau vom Band. Aus der zivilen Limousine machte man mit höhergelegtem Fahrwerk und offenem Aufbau den Lazik, den Geländewagen der polnischen Armee. Rund anderthalbtausend Stück standen 1939 zur Verfügung - zu wenige für eine Armee, die im September gegen zwei Gegner gleichzeitig antreten musste.

    On the tabletop

    The Lazik is the field car of your Polish army in September 1939 in Bolt Action. Rules are in the Germany Strikes supplement: there it serves as a small transport with the reconnaissance special rule, or it carries a pintle-mounted medium machine gun, in which case it has no room for passengers. Use it to get an officer or a small team quickly onto a flank. Three crew figures are included. Captured cars later also served with German troops on the Eastern Front.
