Product details

Background & context

On the tabletop

Eight musketeers occupy the shot wings beside your pike block in Pike & Shotte, whether in England or the Empire. In the course of the 17th century their share grew until there were two or three muskets for every pike. Despite its weight, slow loading and trouble in the rain, the matchlock musket pierced any armour, so you place the shot where they can fire volleys into closed enemy formations. The figures fit almost any army of the period.
