Product details

Background & context

The LT vz. 35 was developed at Škoda for the Czechoslovak army and in the mid-thirties was considered soundly made, if unreliable in its compressed-air controls. After the occupation in March 1939 the Wehrmacht acquired 218 vehicles and assigned them as the Panzer 35(t) mainly to the 6th Panzer Division. Poland, France, then the advance into Russia, where the winter took its toll on the machinery, and from 1942 the vehicles disappeared from the front line.

On the tabletop

The Panzer 35(t) was a Czech cavalry tank, of which the Wehrmacht took over 218 from March 1939, using them mainly in the 6th Panzer Division. Its 3.7 cm gun could deal with most vehicles of the early war years, while hull and coaxial machine guns kept infantry down. In Bolt Action it fits German armoured platoons for Poland, France and the opening of the war in the East, fast enough for flanking thrusts. Metal parts complement the resin model.
