    Product details

    Background & context

    On the tabletop

The Ausf. D is the first production version of the Panther and belongs in German lists for 1943, on the Eastern Front for example at Kursk in July. Bolt Action rates it as a medium tank whose long 7.5 cm gun counts as a super-heavy anti-tank gun, and frontally it is as tough as a heavy tank. So keep its front towards the enemy. Historically, gearbox and engine failures at Kursk put more Panthers out of action than enemy fire. The resin model comes with metal parts including side skirts.
