Product details

Background & context

On the tabletop

The Humbarachi formed a separate corps in the Ottoman army, manning mortars and howitzers apart from the regular gunners. Their light mortar lobs its bombs in an arc, reaching enemies behind walls, ramparts and cover. In Pike & Shotte you set it beside your field guns, since the lighter pieces fought in the open field too, and it belongs at any siege. The tall sheepskin hat sets the two crewmen apart from the rest of your artillery.
