Product details

Background & context

On the tabletop

You field heavy Ottoman cavalry in Pike & Shotte with these Sipahis of the Porte, the standing, state-paid horse that served with the Sultan. Three riders carry spear and shield, one a pistol and shield. They are at their strongest in open ground, above all when you lead them into the flank or rear of an enemy unit. On the Hungarian battlefields they often met Habsburg cavalry, which makes a fitting opponent.
