    Product details

    Background & context

Oddball Sherman is based on the 1970 cult film Kelly's Heroes. References include the final film, Burt Hirschfeld's accompanying novel, and the real historical background of the depicted units. In the scenario, Oddball's Shermans officially belong to the US 6th Armored Division, but act as an unusual, dramatically exaggerated tank crew in the rear. According to the manufacturer, the enclosed booklet provides thematic special rules for heroes and vehicles, making the set more of a character-based special model than a normal standard tank.

    On the tabletop

The Oddball Sherman brings the tank crew from the 1970 film Kelly's Heroes into your games of Bolt Action. In the game it remains a medium Sherman for American lists, but the eight-page colour booklet adds personal special rules for each hero and for the tank itself, ready for film-style scenarios. Four crew figures are included. In the film the unit belongs to the 6th Armored Division and enjoys the French countryside, and Achtung Panzer! covers the vehicle too.
