Norman Infantry contains 60 hard plastic 28mm Norman infantrymen. Armoured and unarmoured bodies and separate command frames allow for the creation of versatile warband and infantry units. This set provides a strong basis for Norman Hail Caesar armies of the Viking Age, the Conquest period and early Crusades.

Hintergrund & Einordnung

The Normans descended from Scandinavian settlers in Northern France and developed a particularly successful military culture in the 11th century. In addition to their famous cavalry, infantry formed an important part of Norman armies. Armored and unarmored foot soldiers allow for the representation of different equipment levels within a battle line. The set fits the context of the Norman Conquest of England and other Norman ventures in Europe and the Mediterranean.

Einsatz im Spiel

Norman Infantry is a versatile core for Norman armies in Hail Caesar. For SAGA, Pillage, and Lion Rampant, it can be used to build both leader groups and armored and unarmored warriors for smaller skirmishes. The infantry holds ground, supports the cavalry, and forms the melee core apart from cavalry charges. Thanks to the command frames, the set is also suitable for complete units with visible leadership.
