Product details

Background & context

On the tabletop

Eight pikemen, 16 musketeers, an officer, sergeant, ensign and drummer make a complete New Model Army regiment in Pike & Shotte, plus a preacher as a character figure. Parliament raised this uniformly paid army under Thomas Fairfax in 1645, and in June of the same year it decided the war at Naseby. Place the pikes in the centre and the musketeers on the wings, with the preacher accompanying the command. Opponents are the Royalists and later the Scottish Covenanters.
