    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    Foot artillery formed the main body of Prussian field guns. It was usually deployed in advantageous positions before or at the beginning of a battle. From there, it supported infantry attacks or covered defensive positions with concentrated fire. In the campaigns of 1813-1815, artillery was an important means of combating French columns and batteries.

    This foot artillery piece represents stationary Prussian firepower for Napoleonic battles. In Black Powder, it supports infantry lines, controls vital fire corridors, and forces the enemy to move under fire. In smaller games, the gun can be used as a central scenario objective or as a powerful support weapon.
