Product details

Background & context

While other marshals struggled, General Suchet took one fortress after another in eastern Spain. Operating from Aragon he captured Lérida, Tortosa and Tarragona in 1810 and 1811, and the bloody storming of Tarragona earned him his marshal's baton. Valencia surrendered to him in January 1812. Suchet was also known as an administrator who curbed looting and kept Aragon comparatively quiet.

On the tabletop

Balutin shows his character best in small actions where every figure acts on its own. Give him a card with his name and quirks and send him out with a handful of other veterans, perhaps to search a farm or secure a road. In Black Powder he later takes his place in a French line battalion and keeps his name there.
