Product details

Background & context

Napoleon's armies in Spain and Portugal largely lived off the land. Requisitions, looting and forced levies fell on a rural population that had little to spare, and fed the hatred behind the guerrilla war. Godaille is French for gluttony and carousing, a telling nickname in a country where the troops often went hungry.

On the tabletop

Mercier works best right in the middle of a French line battalion, among the uniform ranks of plastic figures. There he breaks up the neat look of the stands, while the unit plays exactly the same in Black Powder. If you collect several veterans from this range, spread them across your bases so every unit carries one or two of these faces.
