Description

Eloi Bonnet brings another veteran of the butchers to your table. The 28mm resin figure fits into line battalions just as well as into a small scene on its own base, styled after the Spanish landscape.

Product details

Background & context

Spain was hard country for the French armies. Mountain ranges cut across the Peninsula, in summer the sun beat down on parched plateaus, and in winter the troops froze in the sierras. Roads were poor and villages far apart, so an army could hardly feed itself in one place for long. A saying attributed to Henry IV sums it up: in Spain large armies starve and small ones are beaten.

On the tabletop

Bonnet works well as part of a small scene. Set on a larger base with dry ground, stones and a stretch of wall, he marks an objective, a village or an outpost in Black Powder that both sides have to take or hold. Alternatively he joins a line battalion whose bases you also finish in the colours of the Iberian countryside.
