Product details

Background & context

On the tabletop

From 1805 the 6-pounder was the standard gun of the French light batteries; here it comes as a Guard foot artillery piece with four gunners in firing poses. The gun is mobile enough to follow an advance and fires case shot at close range. In Black Powder it accompanies your Guard infantry or plugs a gap in the line. The Guard gunners were known for their steadiness and would defend their guns even hand to hand.
