Mongolian cavalry was still an active component of Soviet and Chinese armed forces in the 20th century - raised in the saddle, more robust than any regular infantry, and ideal for wide-ranging reconnaissance missions. This set is approved for Bolt Action for Soviet and Chinese armies in WWII, as well as for CPVA units in the Korean War.

Hintergrund & Einordnung

Mongolian cavalry was lightly equipped, but extremely resilient and sure-footed. The manufacturer assigns the unit to both Soviet and Chinese armies in World War II, as well as Chinese-PVA armies in Bolt Action Korea. This makes the set historically a borderline case between WW2 and Korea use and is therefore listed with both contexts.

Mongolian cavalry can be played in Bolt Action as a Soviet or Chinese cavalry unit - suitable for the Battle of Khalkhin Gol 1939, reconnaissance missions on the Eastern Front, or as CPVA cavalry for Korea scenarios.
