    Background & context

    Zwischen dem Bürgerkrieg unter König Stephan und den Baronskriegen gegen Johann Ohneland stand der Ritter im Kettenhemd im Mittelpunkt jedes englischen Feldzugs. Er kämpfte in kleinen Verbänden, oft nur ein paar Dutzend Reiter stark, dafür teuer ausgerüstet und politisch selbstbewusst. Dieselben Männer zogen auf Kreuzzug, belagerten Burgen in der Normandie und erzwangen am Ende die Magna Carta.

    On the tabletop

    The 16 knights in mail are enough for two cavalry units of the period between the civil war under King Stephen and the barons' wars against King John. At the time knights fought in small, expensively equipped groups, often only a few dozen riders strong. On the table you use them for the decisive charge, while foot troops and archers hold the line until then. The multi-part figures can be assembled freely.
