The M24 Chaffee is a 28mm/1:56 scale US Light Tank in resin and metal. This kit contains one Chaffee, Order Dice, waterslide decals, and game accessories for Bolt Action and Achtung Panzer!.

The vehicle replaced the Stuart as a more modern reconnaissance and light battle tank with a 75mm gun. Models supplied un-assembled and unpainted.

Hintergrund & Einordnung

The M24 Chaffee was developed as a replacement for the light M3/M5 Stuart tanks. Its armor remained intentionally light, but it received a significantly more powerful light 75 mm gun and a lower profile. According to the manufacturer, the first vehicles arrived in Europe in November 1944 and were issued to units of the 2nd Cavalry Group, among others. In December 1944, they fought in connection with the Battle of the Bulge; later, the Chaffee was also used in the Korean War and other post-war conflicts.

In the game, the M24 Chaffee US Light Tank is suitable for rapid flanking maneuvers, reconnaissance, and flexible fire support. Light tanks and scout vehicles should utilize their mobility instead of seeking long frontal engagements. In Bolt Action / Achtung Panzer! / Chain of Command, the model complements infantry and heavier vehicles through speed, mission pressure, and responsiveness. The tags follow the buildable variants and the historical deployment profile.
