Product details

Background & context

The Luftwaffe Field Division's 8.8cm Flak 37 was one of the most important weapons of the German Luftwaffe Field Divisions in World War II. The guns were used to engage infantry, vehicles, or fortified positions from a distance. In a tabletop context, the model represents heavy anti-aircraft and anti-tank capabilities, adding a clearly recognizable support role to armies.

On the tabletop

For the artillery platoon of your German army in Bolt Action, the Flak 37 is fielded using the entry for the 8.8 cm Flak 36. There it is a super-heavy anti-tank gun on a rotating platform and can also fire as a medium howitzer. With a long line of sight over open ground it holds enemy tanks at bay from a great distance. Seven figures of the Luftwaffe field division crew it, and an Sd.Kfz 7 makes a suitable tractor.
