Product details

Background & context

Konflikt '47 is set in a 1947 in which the war did not end but went into a new round through Rift technology. The drop on Collegno in 1946 showed US planners that their Firefly jump squads had too little firepower behind them with the old M2 Mudskipper. The rebuild became the M2A5: stronger legs for hard landings, universal mounts for interchangeable weapons, controls for one man. Officially it remained a Mudskipper, but at the front it was known from May 1947 only as the Linebacker.

On the tabletop

The M2A5 Linebacker gives American Firefly jump infantry heavy fire support in Konflikt '47. It leaps across the battlefield or arrives from reserve exactly where you need it. One arm always carries the M21 Light Tesla Cannon, while for the other you choose twin HMGs against infantry, twin automatic cannons against light vehicles or twin super bazookas against tanks. The nose mounts an MMG or a flamethrower. The canopy can be built open, and the pilot stays visible.
