Product details

Background & context

In 1947 the war is not over; it has come off the rails. Energies and technologies seep out of the Rifts, and both sides hurry to turn them into weapons: the Americans send jump infantry and light walkers forward, the Axis replies with armoured Stahltruppen and striding war machines. That contest is exactly what this box depicts: two doctrines drawing on the same unfamiliar technology and still fighting in completely different ways.

On the tabletop

Each half of this box is the start of a platoon: a commander, a squad of infantry and a walker. The Americans field their exclusive resin Platoon Commander, 12 Firefly Airborne Infantry and the M2A5 Linebacker Jump Walker, while the Axis answers with a commander of its own, 6 Stahltruppen and the Vogelspinne. The 4 ruin sprues provide cover on the double-sided mat, and pin markers from the sprue go next to any squad that takes hits. With 4 Order Dice and 4 Rift Dice per side and the English A5 rulebook, you can start playing as soon as everything is built. Further US or Axis squads are easy to add later.
